39) Fighting Seabees Marathon, RI, 9th April 2017

[To expand] Finished in 3:16:58 and 3rd in my age group.

A friendly local race. Very well organized and a more scenic course than the map suggests (there was some running among the old hangers, now industrial units).

I started slowly to ease my body into it after running the 50k yesterday. I felt good and pushed harder after the turnaround at mile 16, overtaking a number of people. I felt very strong at the end so ran the last 3 miles at aub-7:00 pace.

Lots of pizza at the end.
